Good Fruit
Matthew 7:15-20

As odd as it may seem, there's a real strong parallel between Christians and fruit.
(No, not that one.)  Each year, the Lord provides an abundance of fruit that many people let go to waste...
But we're not just talking apples and grapes anymore...

In the darkness someone's waiting for you to fall
Twisted messages the false prophet calls
Don't you listen to what he has to say
He'll lead you astray

You will know them by the fruit they try to bear
Jesus tells us this to make us more aware
In the harvest when thorns are cast away
The good fruit will stay

Like the apple on the tree
I just want to bear good fruit for thee
Like the grapevine, growing stronger
I just want to bear good fruit for thee

Only good trees can bear the sweetest fruit
All the other trees are burned out by the root
Cleansed with fire and blessed in His name
The good trees remain
