Friend for Life
John 15:13

In college, I had a good friend named Louie who was instrumental
in leading me to the Lord.  When I think back to all he
did to help me to a point of decision, I wonder if perhaps
he's the best friend I ever had.  Then when I look at all Christ has done for me,
I realize that He is so much more than a best friend --
He's truly a Friend for life.

There are some days
When I wake up and feel all alone
There's no reason why
But it feels as if I'm far away from home

Few days with little prayer
Can make the strongest heart grow weak
But opening my heart to hear
Lets me know someone's there to listen to me

Jesus is always right beside me
Jesus, to answer me when I call
Jesus, my Friend and my Redeemer
In my life of friends, He's my Friend for life

What other friend
Would go to the cross for me?
What other man
Would live his life to die so perfectly?

Greater love have no man
But to die for his friends
He stands now with open hands
To welcome us to a life without end

And though sometimes I feel lost in trouble
And my life is filled with sin
He wraps His loving arms around me
And opens up His heart for me again
