To Dream the Impossible Dream...

« on: September 23, 2011, 01:17:13 PM »

Here's the issue.
In SBClient under Print-Options there are a number of check boxes.
[  ]  User Window Print Drivers       (it sends output to my Window's default printer.  Good)
[  ]  Force Condensed Mode          (print 132 characters wide and goes about 3/4 down the paper. Okay)
[  ]  Maintain Rows Per Page         (expands print to width of page (good) but expands down so that
two lines have to print on another page.  Unacceptable.)
Can you tell where I'm going with this?  Is there a way to use the whole page at 132 characters wide without the fall out to the next page?
I tried SETPTR before processing the report but I'm thinking Report Writer is probably resetting it.
Any ideas?

Check the stationery assigned to the report.  That's usually the culprit.

My apologies for the delay in responding.  On the /PD.R, press F9 to see the stationery assigned to the report.  Then use /STATIONERY.DEFN to view the details about the stationery  (columns/rows).
