I realize this isn't really applicable to my software company, but I really want to get this message out that Atlas Books is a total scam.  My lovely wife wrote a book a couple of years ago and we signed on with these folks to distribute the book and in the end they've raped us every which way possible.  Customer service is non-existent, any information provided is apparently designed to confuse and confound, and every little thing has a bill attached to it.  We've reported them to the Ohio Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, but this company apparently knows how to run their scam really well and does just enough to stay ahead of the law.  For now...

If there is anyone considering writing a book, you would be well advised to stay as far away from these people as possible unless you have copious money to burn, because they'll take it all and want more.
