In the /FD tool, the F5 key has always produced a summary of the field definitions in Attribute number order.  I just created a new file, and the fields are being displayed in Alphabetical order   Huh

Any ideas on how to make this work "normally"?

             File CEI.RESCOM.GOALS
-------------------------------------------------------
Field Name     Description          Pos.Sub Type  Len
-------------------------------------------------------
CUST.NUM       Customer Number        0     A      6
RB.GOAL        Rain Bird Goal         2     N     12
TORO.GOAL      Toro R/c Goal          3     N     12
TOTAL.GOAL     Total Goal             1     N     12

Yes, it's Character mode... but I wouldn't expect that to matter.  Then again, I don't use GUI mode at all, so...

In GUI mode that display can be sorted in any number of ways.  In character mode I've never seen it sorted but in the default way.

Looking at the object code for SB.REVIEW.DEFNS I'm not seeing any obvious strings that have the TCL selection statement.  Very weird that it would change sort order on you like that.  Have any fields in DMCONT been recently changed?

I haven't changed anything in DMCONT.  Also, the /FD F5 works normally on other files.

I think the field name "TOTAL.GOAL" may have messed it up.  I had some other problems with the field as well.  I deleted and rebuilt the file, and named the first field "TOT.GOAL", and it now works correctly.  Very odd...

Definitely odd.  I wouldn't think a specific field name would goof up the display, but there's a lot about SB+ hidden under the covers that we mere mortals may never see...
