We have a standard push button that we have on every gui screen. There are some where we set the emphasize to "False" in the properties window. However, when a user invokes a different push button that displays a sub-screen or a grid, the buttons emphasis is turned back on. Is there a known issue within SystemBuilder that is overwritting common in this regard or is there a setting that I don't know about?

Just so I understand: Screen A has the button de-emphasized and screen B is then invoked, and upon returning to screen A the button is back on?

Correct. Here is more information regarding this issue. The push button that I am using is set to the Function key 9 (FK9). There is a button on each screen, screen A and screen B that is setup as FK9. Screen A has the emphasis on FK9 set to False. On Screen B, it is set to True. Upon returning to Screen A, the FK9 is now active. Since screen B is not a subscreen, could the emphasis of FK9 on screen B affect the emphasis of FK9 on screen A upon it return?

I hope that my explanation is not too confusing.

Thanks for any help.

While that sounds like a reasonably hypothesis, I regret that I'm unable to provide much in the way of a solution.  Have you reported this with IBM or your VAR?  I know there are still a few GUI quirks out there, maybe this is one of them?

I have no solution but I had different push button issue that cleared up when the function keys on the push buttons were changed to above 10.
