‘OUTPUT.REDIRECT’ is just “the front-end prompting for the report writer”.  It doesn’t reset or redirect anything.
The responses are (S)creen (P)rint  au(X) (D)if (E)mail f(A)x  exce(L)
The response goes into VALUE and into WORK<26,5>
All types of things are put into WORK<26,nn>
There must be something in Prelude that takes these options and Assigns the output.
Do you have any idea what programs uses the results and sets the output option?

OUTPUT.REDIRECT is a subroutine in PROGS.  We use a local modification to allow us to use AccuTerm to download Excel instead of SB.Client.

Please note that OUTPUT.REDIRECT can take a parameter to change the presented options. Also, if you want your /RD reports to work with /GRIM, you need to use it.

Of course, if you create a new /GRIM report, I recommend you copy the report TEMPLATE from the REPORTS file.

Check out PROGS REPORT.CLOSE.  That's where all these options are used, for outputting to Excel, email, fax, etc.
