High contrast color - possible?

Hi,
If I Go to Control Panel - Accessibility Options. On the Display tab, I check the option to "Use High Contrast". I select the "Settings" button and select a high contrast scheme such as "White on Black". I then select the OK button and then the Apply button.
When I switch back the focus to the application (SB+ Client), I am not able to see the high contrast being applied to the application.
Is there a way to make the application inherit the system settings?

It may depend on the app. If the colours are hard-coded into the screens it may not matter what windows colour scheme you are using.
I've also had trouble with the DPI setting being set to Large. It causes high-lighted lines to be illegible.
